Training Event: “Showing your alpacas”will cover all aspects of showing your alpacas including:
Understanding the show rules
Completing the paperwork
Selecting, Preparing and Training your alpacas
What to take & how to setup your pen
Understanding what the judge is looking for
Show ring procedures - What to do before, during and after the judging
How to show the teeth and handle the alpaca in the ring
Understanding the role of the stewards
This training day is open to all members, with a focus on encouraging more people to show their alpacas. Experienced breeders will be available to answer questions and assist in the hands-on practical skills. The great news is that the training will be FREE. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, but bookings are essential. |
